It is with great pleasure that we announce that the next XVII Conference of Environmental Psychology will take place in Malaga, Spain, from February 3 to 6, 2025, in the recently inaugurated building of the Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy of the University of Malaga. The Conference, organized under the presidency of M. Carmen Hidalgo, has the support of PSICAMB, Association of Environmental Psychology, and its main topic is Psychology in the face of new environmental challenges.
As in previous editions, we welcome the participation of colleagues from different countries, mainly from Europe and Latin America, from both academic and applied fields, as well as from different disciplines such as Psychology, Architecture, Urban Planning, Geography, Tourism, Environmental Sciences, etc
This edition of the PSICAMB Conference, the XVII number, is held at a time when the urgency of environmental problems and sustainability are more present than ever on public agendas, and brings together researchers and experts in various environmental disciplines with the objective of contributing to the dissemination of psychoenvironmental research and promoting the discussion of ideas and experiences that allow progress in the search for solutions to the most relevant environmental problems.
The XVII Conference of Environmental Psychology (PSICAMB 2025) will take place in four work days. The first day will be dedicated to pre-conference workshops for doctoral students and the opening plenary conference by María Lewicka. The second and third days will be dedicated mainly to communication sessions, posters and symposiums. The fourth and final day will conclude the sessions and symposiums, and will end with a final plenary conference by John Thøgersen.
The Conference will also be the occasion for the biennial meeting of PSICAMB (assembly of members) and the celebration of the Rocío Martín Award (for works by young researchers in Environmental Psychology). A social and cultural program (welcome cocktail, conference dinner and sightseeing tour of the city) will be offered to participants and their companions.
We hope to see you in Malaga, capital of the Costa del Sol
